KEY FACTS

• A superb example of the lauded performance estate, with the coveted Nogaro Blue Pearl Effect finish.
• Under the bonnet is the 311bhp turbocharged 2.2-litre five-cylinder engine, which powers all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and the Quattro system.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• While the service history was unknown when the current owner acquired it from the previous keeper’s estate, he adopted a ’worst case’ approach to preventative maintenance, and in the process has brought an already impressive car up to an excellent standard.
• This Audi RS2 was specified with Nogaro Blue Pearl Effect paintwork and an Anthracite full leather interior, complete with blue-weaved carbon fibre trim.
• Factory options include a sliding sunroof, a three-spoke steering wheel, a cargo net and a luggage cover.
• The catalytic converters and middle exhaust boxes have been removed, but the rest of the exhaust system remains as per factory.
• An updated VW head unit has been installed, which is in keeping with the aesthetics of the era. Though the original Becker item now has two missing buttons, it will also be included in the sale.
• The clutch pedal has been fitted with an aluminium brace to prevent premature wear to the master cylinder, and for more direct pedal travel.
• Its original owner’s manuals and spare keys will be supplied, along with various RS2-themed motoring magazines and maintenance invoices spanning the current ownership.

CONDITION

• The rear reflector panel is cracked, but an unopened OEM replacement will be included in the sale, alongside a new tailgate handle. These can be fitted prior to delivery if requested by the buyer.
• Its Nogaro Blue Pearl Effect is in excellent condition, with just a few touched-in stone chips on the offside of the bonnet and rear bumper. The vendor notes that the repaired paintwork is slightly darker than the original shade, but this is only noticeable under close inspection.
• A few cracks can be seen in the lower rubber front door skirts, alongside some light scratches to the underside of the front bumper.
• Inside, there is some very light discoloration to the outer driver’s bolster, alongside some general age-related creasing to the seats and a few air bubbles in the leather-trimmed door cards.
• The headlining appears to have been re-trimmed.
• No electrical faults have been detected.

SERVICE HISTORY

• Its most recent service was in August 2021 at 111,600 km, where specialist technician Rodney Trotter changed the engine oil, filters, brake fluid and coolant.
• The cam belt and water pump were last replaced in November 2015 at 103,000 km.
• Various components have been replaced on a preventative basis during the vendor’s ownership, including the engine mounts, transmission and shock top mounts, the brake discs and pads, the boost pipes, the turbo diverter valve, the N75 wastegate actuator, the first and second gear synchromesh rings, and the oil pressure and coolant temperature sensors.
