• Additional equipment includes central locking, an electric glass sunroof, green-tinted heat insulating glass and power steering.
• Genuine accessories include the car’s Golf-branded mud flaps and rubber floor mats. Impressively, the car still features its original Sony radio/cassette player, and is even still fitted with its original dealer number plates and window sticker.
• The car’s security has been enhanced via a Cobra alarm system.
• This Golf will be accompanied by its original brochure and price list, as well as its stamped service book, receipts for its past maintenance, various tax discs and a number of its MOT test certificates. Both sets of keys are also present.

CONDITION

• No bodywork damage.
• The Tornado Red paintwork presents very well given the car’s age. As is to be expected, there are a few minor blemishes to the finish, including small stone chips around the vehicle. A sticker has also been affixed beneath the driver’s door handle, which is covering some light scratches and protecting the paintwork beneath.
• Inside, the cabin features all of its original upholstery and trim, and is in excellent condition throughout, with no evidence of wear on the black cloth seats or any of the plastic trim.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical issues with the vehicle, and no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 28 May 2021 at 26,484 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass without a single warning or advisory.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This Golf’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in June 2020 at 26,385 miles by VW main dealer Helston Garages. A general service, this consisted of an engine oil, oil filter and brake fluid change, as well as a general health check.
• Prior to this, Helston Garages performed an oil and filter service in June 2018 at 25,939 miles, while in September 2016 VW specialist Buryas Bridge Garage replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs and cam belt - as well as the engine oil and filter - at 25,608 miles.
• Aside from general servicing, the car has required little additional maintenance during the seller’s ownership, save for the replacement of the offside front brake hose in November 2018 and the fitment of a new battery in May 2018.

SUMMARY

Handsome, dependable and with a number of sporting touches, this Volkswagen Golf Driver is an appealing mid-‘90s hatchback.
