This Ferrari 348 TS is a low-mileage example of a modern classic supercar, presented in a rare factory colour scheme and in excellent condition throughout. Under the engine lid is a 3.4-litre quad-cam V8, producing around 296bhp, driven through a transversely oriented five-speed manual transmission. The odometer shows just 26,200 miles from new.

An original UK market car, this 348 TS was first registered in August 1994, and there are four previous registered keepers on the log book. It has been owned by the seller for more than six years, forming part of a small private collection. As a late-model 348, this features the correct colour-coded lower body instead of the earlier satin black, and has the battery located in the front rather than the engine bay - ostensibly to help improve the handling balance.

The bodywork and paint are described by the seller as being in excellent condition, as shown in the photo gallery below. There are some small chips and marks on the lower front bumper, as well as some bubbling in the paint on the offside wing mirror strut. In general, there is a smooth and even finish across all of the panels, with no unsightly scratches or evidence of corrosion. The car rides on the original 17-inch five-spoke Speedline alloys, which are in superb condition with just a few very minor marks on one or two wheels.

Inside, like all standard 348s, the car has a two-tone leather finish, with black Connolly hide on the upper dashboard and door panels, and grey leather for the lower sections and seats. All of the main upholstery is in great shape, with no tears in the great leather, and only very minor surface scuffs on the driver’s side seat bolster - which could be easily re-connolised. The seller notes that the door handle trims are worn and marked, with the most prominent deterioration on the driver’s side. These plastics commonly perish slightly with age, so could be stripped and refinished - though they are perfectly usable as-is.

While the centre console plastics are very slightly faded and marked, they do not appear to suffer from the common ‘stickiness’ of other Ferraris of this era, and present well. All of the buttons still have clear markings, and there are no known electrical faults. The steering wheel and gear knob both appear to be original, and are in excellent condition.

The last scheduled maintenance was carried out by Ferrari specialist QV London in July 2020 at 26,061 miles. This consisted of an engine oil service, as well as new gearbox oil, a replacement battery and a new alternator. Other recent work has included a full service and cam belt renewal in April 2018, along with new front and rear brake lines, damper springs, and new tyres. A full summary of the maintenance history is included below.

The most recent MOT test was on 16 July 2020 at 26,061 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. The Maxxis tyres were fitted in 2018 and remain in virtually as-new condition, having covered less than 500 miles. Accompanying the car is an original set of books, as well as a file of service history.

This Ferrari 348 TS, presented in the very rare colour scheme of Argento with black and grey Connolly leather, is a very smart example of the marque’s first modern-era supercar. It has evidently been well maintained, particularly in the last six or seven years, and is presented in excellent condition today, ready to impress its next owner.
