1994 BMW (E36) M3 - 40,000 MILES

This 1994 BMW M3 Coupe is a stunning example of the E36 model, finished in the striking shade of metallic Avus Blue complemented by a light grey leather interior. Having covered just 39,260 miles from new, this is a remarkably low-mileage example of M-car royalty.

One of the definitive ‘everyman’ performance cars of its generation, it is powered by the 282bhp version of the 3.0-litre S50 straight-six engine, coupled to the five-speed manual transmission. Presented in excellent and unmodified condition, this M3 is a true thoroughbred.

This M3 was first registered in October 1994, and the clear HPI report shows just three previous registered keepers on the log book. The car has been with the current owner for the last four years, though he has driven it sparingly, covering around 300 miles in that time.

The seller reports the Avus Blue Metallic paint appears to be original, and that it presents in excellent condition with no blemishes. The car has a very clean engine bay, and the paint around door shuts and sills also presents superbly. This shade is a classic M colour, and is well suited to the E36’s proportions and features. All of the lights lenses and body trims are in great shape. The original set of 17-inch BMW Motorsport double-spoke alloy wheels are in unmarked condition, wearing Toyo Proxes tyres with around 6mm of tread.

Moving inside, the light grey leather interior with tri-colour M stripes to the inserts is in superb condition with minimal wear or fading, and certainly no damage or staining. As with the rest of the car, the interior appears to be entirely original and unmodified – even the Sony stereo looks period-correct. The factory-supplied torch remains safely stored in the glove box. It is fitted with a tilt-and-slide sunroof, which works perfectly. There are no known electrical faults with any of the switchgear.

The car received an oil service by performance BMW specialist Amspeed Racing in October 2018, with the two previous services carried out by Amspeed and Lloyd Motors. The seller reports that the servicing schedule is consistent with the mileage and shows five visits to a main dealer alongside the two recent independent services.

A superb low-mileage example of one of the best value M cars, this E36 M3 represents a fantastic opportunity to acquire a highly original BMW performance coupe. It is increasingly hard to find this era of M3 in such impressive and unmodified condition, and this particular car would undoubtedly be a credit to any collection.
