EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• A lesser-seen manual example of the Range Rover Vogue, it was also specified from the factory with air suspension, ABS brakes and air conditioning.
• The car’s original air suspension has been replaced by regular springs, but with new air bags it could be reverted back in the future.
• The car is painted in a rare Aegean Blue finish, which is complemented by Westminster Grey velour interior trim and wood trim inserts.
• It rides on a set of original three-spoke 16-inch alloy RRC wheels sporting a grey and silver finish.
• The original stereo has been replaced by a JVC aftermarket unit, but other than this and the standard springs, the car retains its original factory specification. The factory radio is also included in the sale.
• The service book and manuals are included in a branded plastic wallet, with several of the previous MOTs and some bills for servicing and maintenance.
• The cherished registration plate is included in the sale.

CONDITION

• There is no evidence of any prior accident damage.
• The paintwork is described as being in generally good condition for its age, with some minor imperfections. There are some small areas of corrosion on the lower sections of the wings and the upper tailgate, and a small amount of lacquer peel on the roof.
• The alloy wheels have minor corrosion spots and flaked paint, so would benefit from refurbishment.
• Both sill panels have been replaced and repainted by the current owner, along with restorative work completed on the footwells and front inner wings. Previously, both the boot floor and rear cross member have been replaced.
• The velour interior trim is in excellent condition. There are some minor nicks in the front passenger armrest cover, but the rest of the upholstery is in great shape for its age. Some slight discolouration and surface wear is present.
• The seller has noted a small amount of damage to the plastic radio panel and a scuff on rear driver’s door card. The gear knob is also showing signs of wear and tear.
• Its air conditioning is not working due to a snapped compressor belt, but a replacement supplied as part of the sale.
• The central locking on the upper tailgate has failed, with the required replacement link rod assembly included in the sale.
• The remote key fob also works intermittently, but the car unlocks and locks as it should when using the ignition key.
• The seller states that the exhaust has a small blow near the engine.
• No other mechanical or electrical faults are noted.
• The most recent MOT test was on 4 December 2020 at 115,649 miles, which was a clean pass with no advisories. During the two months prior to this, some corrosion to the underbody was rectified, and the front headlamp aim was adjusted.

SERVICE HISTORY

• At the last service in May 2021 at 119,000 miles, the owner completed an oil change, and fitted a new pair of rear brake calipers and rear brake pads.
• The middle and rear sections of the exhaust system have been replaced recently.
• Prior to this, an oil change was completed in November 2020. In March 2018, the car underwent a full fluid service. There is a good service history on file, while the online MOT records indicate the car was off the road between 2008 and 2013.

SUMMARY

This Range Rover Classic Vogue is a usable example of the original luxury SUV, which has a rare and collectible specification finished in Aegean Blue and with the five-speed manual transmission. It would now benefit from some cosmetic attention to the paintwork to smarten up its appearance, but it is ultimately ready to be used and enjoyed as-is – whether on or off the road.
