1993 MERCEDES-BENZ (W140) S600 COUPE

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• It is also equipped with a tilt/slide glass sunroof, heated front seats, front and rear armrests, a rear roller blind, cruise control, and CD changer.
• Sold with the full set of original service books, owner’s manuals and keys.

CONDITION

• There is no sign of any significant bodywork damage, though there are scrapes and one or two cracks in the front and rear bumpers, as well as on the driver’s side rear wheel arch.
• It wears the original AMG wheels, though they have lacquer peel and surface corrosion, so would benefit from a total refurbishment.
• The Brilliant Silver paintwork is believed to be entirely original, presenting some minor cracks and scratches, paint flaking and a couple of small patches of bubbling, consistent with the age of the car.
• Mercedes’ leather interior has stood the test of time and is in good condition, with the upholstery as well as the wood accents well preserved. The leather below the driver door arm rest is beginning to lift along the edge, and there is a crack in the plastic on the far edge of the same piece of trim, as well as in the speaker grille below.
• Some expected wear can be found on the driver’s seat bolster on the entry side. There is also some minor discoloration in the textiles of the driver’s door panel and boot.
• The owner reports that the car occasionally goes into limp mode, so this needs to be investigated in due course, though it is a rare occurrence. There are no other known faults.

SERVICE HISTORY

• MB Star Motors carried out the car’s most recent service in August 2017. This was a routine service with oil change.
• The car has only required regular maintenance in its 12 years with the current owner, with no major replacement items needed.
