1991 VOLKSWAGEN GOLF (MK2) G60 OETTINGER

KEY FACTS

• A desirable Oettinger-modified VW Golf G60, with a believed unique specification and which has been very well maintained.
• Under the bonnet sits the supercharged 1.8-litre inline-four, now producing around 201bhp and 194lb-ft of torque, coupled with a five-speed manual transmission.

EQUIPMENT AND OPTIONS

• Factory-fitted Oettinger upgrades include a polished and ported head with bigger valves, an uprated camshaft, a re-tuned ECU and a two-piece alloy finned sump.
• The vendor has installed a G-Werks Stage 4 charger, a smaller supercharger pulley and a twin air intake, while the car rides on Koni adjustable coilovers.
• It is fitted with a set of genuine 8” & 9” x15 OZ Turbo three-piece split rims.
• Performance exhaust with a sports catalytic converter and Samco hoses.
• A raft of maintenance invoices included, along with the original hoses and air box.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• Porsche Prussian Blue paintwork in excellent condition, with a few minor stone chips, which are entirely commensurate with the mileage. One small bubble of rust noted under the left-rear window.
• Half-leather Recaro interior in great shape, with some age-related creasing to the bolsters and a few more surface marks in the rear bench
• An aftermarket Kenwood stereo has been installed, and no electrical faults have been detected.

SERVICE HISTORY

• Its last scheduled maintenance was in February 2021 where the vendor changed the engine oil, filter and brake fluid, before fitting a new timing belt and four new brake callipers with braided hoses.
• The previous service was undertaken around five years ago, and the car has been kept in dry, heated storage as part of a large collection between then and earlier this year.

SUMMARY

This VW Golf G60 Oettinger is a factory-modified modern classic, with a stylish Porsche Prussian Blue colour scheme and a number of further performance modifications.
