• It is believed that Visser then specified the car himself, and it comes with a long list of extra-cost factory options including electrically adjustable front seats with memory function on the driver’s side and a factory sunroof.
• The car is also fitted with an original Mercedes-Benz CD player, heated front seats and air conditioning, plus cruise control, rear seat headrests, electric windows and mirrors, and an automated ‘belt butler’ system.
• It rides on the original and correct eight-hole alloy wheels.
• In the boot of the car there is a full-sized spare wheel and a warning triangle.
• Included with this 300CE-24 is a good service history record, including the booklet with stamps from both main dealers and Mercedes-Benz specialists.
• The car was ordered for ‘tourist delivery’ (collection at the factory), so its pre-delivery inspection was carried out at Sindelfingen.

CONDITION

• There is no known body damage. The car had two new front wings supplied by Mercedes-Benz and professionally fitted six years ago, to rectify the common corrosion.
• The Blue-Black paintwork is in very good condition today. The seller has noted that the roof has had some paint where a telephone aerial is believed to have been removed and the boot lid has suffered with some bird lime.
• There is also a very minor chip in the paintwork on the passenger door and a small crack in the laminate of the rear heated screen.
• The black leather interior is in good shape with some light creasing on the driver’s seat bolster, and there is some minor sun damage to the rear of the centre console.
• All the electrics are believed to be in good working order with no known faults.
• The most recent MOT test was on 5 November 2020 at 103,441 miles where the car passed first time with no advisories or warnings.

SERVICE HISTORY

• The last service was carried out in June 2021 at 103,598 miles by Staithes Garage in Gateshead. The service consisted of an engine oil, filter, and brake fluid change.
• Before this, the last two services were carried out at 102,054 miles by Staithes Garage in Gateshead, and at 83,977 miles by Autonic in London.
• The car has had new ignition leads, a new distribution cap and new spark plugs fitted during the seller’s ownership.
