1991 FERRARI TESTAROSSA

KEY FACTS

• A very late model Testarossa from the final year of production, finished in the ever-popular Rosso Corsa hue.
• It is powered by the 385bhp 4.9-litre naturally aspirated flat-12, coupled to a five-speed manual transmission.
• The odometer indicates just 26,193 km. It has been with the current owner for seven years, but has remained in storage with monthly start-up and exercise procedures.
• The vehicle has been imported to the UK, with NOVA clearance on file, but has not been road registered.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Standard equipment on the Testarossa included electric windows, air-conditioning, and electrically adjustable seats.
• This car was specified in Rosso Corsa with a black leather interior, and as a late model car it features the twin wing mirrors and five-bolt alloy wheels.
• It was supplied by Cornes & Co in Japan in November 1991, though was shipped to the UK in 2014 where it has remained since.
• Accompanying the car is a reprint owner’s manual and replacement service book, which has been stamped up with its known service history. The space-saver spare wheel is also present.

CONDITION

• No known damage.
• As can be seen in the photo gallery, the paintwork is in excellent condition, commensurate with the very low mileage. The rear bar element around the number plate mounting is slightly damaged on the passenger side.
• Inside, the black leather upholstery is in great shape, with virtually no wear to speak of on the passenger seat, and only some more obvious surface wear on the outer bolster of the driver’s seat.
• There are no known mechanical or electrical faults.
• The car was put through an MOT test in 2014, but has not been registered in the UK.

SERVICE HISTORY

• The last maintenance was carried out in 2014, prior to the car being put into long-term storage. Since then, it has been on a trickle charger, with the engine turned over and run up to temperature on a monthly basis, including short drives around the storage facility location.
• Prior services in Japan reportedly took place in 2009, 2007, 2000, and 1993.
