CONDITION

• Today, the J. Mays-designed bodywork presents very well, and is free of any noticeable dents or panel damage. Thanks in part to the fact that the B3 Audi 80’s bodyshell was galvanised from the factory, the car is also free of any visible corrosion.
• The metallic green paintwork is in excellent condition, having been fully resprayed by Washington Coachworks in January 2012.
• The car’s badges and trim are also in great shape, and the light lenses are free of any chips, cracks or hazing.
• The alloys look superb and have no signs of damage or blemishes on their polished rims or silver painted faces.
• All of the upholstery is in fantastic condition for its age, and the seats’ smooth bolsters benefit from having been refurbished in November 2012, when the foam in all four door cards was also renewed.
• The light grey headlining is also in very good order, and is free of any noticeable marks, stains or sagging – and is punctuated by a manually-operated steel sunroof.
• All of the car’s switchgear and electrical items are reported to work without fault, and there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.
• All four of the car’s alloy wheels are shod in Continental PremiumContact 2 tyres, which have reportedly covered just 500 miles since they were fitted. This Audi 80 Sport 16v will be accompanied by its correct handbook and service history documents.
• Its last MOT test was conducted on 8 December 2021 at 79,450 miles. This resulted in a first-time pass, with advisories for a minor rear exhaust leak and slight play in the nearside rear wheel bearing.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This retro German saloon’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out at 78,804 miles by Halltech. This included replacement of the centre, intermediate and rear sections of the exhaust and the catalytic converter; as well as replacement of the front drop links and rear brake hoses. A loose battery terminal was also attended to, and the wiper motor was replaced.
