KEY FACTS

• This 348 TS is in excellent condition, with a strong engine, low mileage and exciting performance.
• Its 3.4-litre Ferrari quad-cam V8 produces around 300hp and a symphonic engine note, driving the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
• Imported from Japan to Australia, it was converted to right-hand drive on arrival in 2002 during the compliance process.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• While the chassis number indicates this is a left-hand drive European-specification model, it is believed to have spent most or all of its early life in Japan, from where it was purchased and imported to Australia.
• The car was subsequently converted to right-hand drive in 2002.
• A custom stainless steel v-band exhaust was fitted, the centre console has been hydro-dipped in carbon fibre, and the car features Hill Engineering high precision 25mm rear spacers and gear shift knob.
• The engine and gearbox are original, no panels have been replaced and all of the original VIN-stamped glass including the windscreen is present.
• Sold with the original owner’s book, manual and two keys, but no log book. Comprehensive records have been kept from 2017 onwards, with all receipts available.
• The original ANSA exhaust is included in the sale if the next owner wants it.

CONDITION

• The bodywork is original and in great shape, with no dents or rust to be found anywhere on the car. Exterior trim, including the targa roof, is also in superb original condition.
• Its Rossa Corsa paintwork is very good overall and features colour coded lower sections, targa and engine lid. Some stone chips can be found in high-exposure areas, and there is slight paint cracking at the base of the rear buttresses.
• The interior has been beautifully preserved, presenting only minimal wear in expected areas like the driver’s seat and carpets.
• Previously the climate unit would turn on intermittently and blow, but it now does not power on at all, so requires some attention.
• The car passed its most recent roadworthy inspection on 21 April 2020, with the only warning being the aforementioned climate unit issue.

SERVICE HISTORY

• Zurich Automotives serviced the car at 52,190 km in March 2021, replacing the engine oil and filter, and gearbox oil and filter.
• In March 2019, Zagame serviced the car at 49,138 km, changing the engine oil and filter, performing a brake fluid flush and replacement, and servicing the regulator mounts for both windows and the left-hand door lock.
• In June 2017, Veloce Motorsport serviced the car at approximately 46,057 km. At that time a major service was completed, including replacing the cam belt, cam belt bearing kit, cam cover gasket kit, camshaft seal and o-rings. The clutch slave and master cylinders were refurbished, and the cam and exhaust cover were also blasted and painted.
• Other maintenance in recent years includes a wiring repair in the right-hand door as the car would not lock, new bonnet and boot struts, and replacement of the alternator and air-conditioning belts, front wipers, hoses near the firewall and the left-hand ignition coil and spark plugs.
• A custom stainless steel exhaust has also been installed.
