EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Introduced in 1989, the GSX-R1100K represented the model’s second incarnation, and featured an enlarged 1127cc engine, bigger Mikuni carburettors and adjustable shock absorbers.
• Built around a lower, stiffer frame, the 1100K gained a reputation for its particularly lively handling characteristics, though modern tyres make this far more predictable.
• This example is finished in Suzuki’s signature colours of blue and white, and features a blue vinyl-trimmed seat.
• It rides on its original set of white, three-spoke alloy wheels, which are in very good shape.
• The bike will be accompanied by extensive documentation of its service history, as well as a number of its past MOT test certificates and a copy of Ride Magazine which features a retrospective review of the model.
• The seller is also including all of the bike’s original parts, including its factory-fitted exhaust system, steering damper and air box.

CONDITION

• No known damage to the frame or bodywork.
• The two-tone blue and white paintwork is thought to be entirely original, and is in excellent overall condition, with only a few minor marks, including stone chips on the mirror covers.
• The exterior trims, light lenses, seat and grips are all in good order.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults.
• The bike’s last MOT test was conducted on 15 November 2019 at 13,890 miles, resulting in a first-time pass with one advisory for a noisy exhaust.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This GSX-R’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in April 2020 at 13,890 miles by Woodburn Green Motorcycles, who cleaned the carburettors and replaced the fuel jets.
• Prior to this, D-Tech Motorcycles serviced the bike and replaced the fuel tap and needle valve kit in November 2019, and fitted a Dynojet kit in June 2013, along with the bike’s upgraded exhaust silencers, a replacement steering damper, new front brake pads and new front and rear tyres.
