1989 FIAT PANDA 4X4 SISLEY

This 1989 Fiat Panda 4x4 Sisley is a superb example of the beloved Italian classic, presented in neat cosmetic order and in highly original condition. Under the bonnet sits a 1.0-litre inline-four petrol engine producing around 50bhp, coupled with a five-speed manual transmission with ‘on demand’ four-wheel drive. The odometer currently indicates 105,714 kilometres from new.

Based on the standard 4x4, Fiat released the Sisley edition in 1987, which featured metallic paint, an inclinometer, white-painted wheels, a roof rack, headlamp washers, a bonnet scoop and Sisley badging. Originally intended to be a limited run of only 500 cars, the Sisley became a permanent model in 1989; the year this example was first registered. It is now offered by a specialist collector car dealer.

The car’s bodywork presents in good order, with flush shut lines, smooth panels and no suggestion of any previous damage. The metallic grey paintwork is described as being in good condition and presents with very few visible blemishes, with the exception of one or two very light marks around the bumpers. However, these are commensurate with the mileage and the finish is believed to be entirely original. The plastic front bumper trim also presents with a crack on the right-hand side. The car rides on the original white-painted 4x4 wheels, which show some slight oxidisation and some age-related paint chips, but are in presentable condition.

Moving inside, the seats are trimmed with grey fabric, which is described as being in good condition and presents very well. The cloth continues through the door cards, tastefully breaking up the exposed metal. Some slight discolouration may be present around the seat edges, but overall, the fabric is in excellent shape, with no rips or tears. The key contact points and dashboard trim appear with no major scuffs or scrapes, and everything is reported to work as it should, with no electrical issues detected.

The vendor notes a service will be completed before the vehicle is handed over to its new owner; and the wheels come wrapped with a set of Pirelli Winter 160 tyres, which appear to be in good condition all around the car.
