KEY FACTS
- A low-mileage example of the first generation Fiat Panda 4x4; a Guigiaro-designed modern classic with impressive off-road capability.
- Under the bonnet is a 1.0-litre inline-four FIRE engine, producing up to 50hp, coupled to a five-speed manual transmission and ‘on demand’ four-wheel drive via a manual lever behind the gear shift.
- It is accompanied by a comprehensive, mostly main dealer service history.
- An original UK-market car first registered in January 1989, it has just four keepers from new, with long-term single first ownership.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
- It is finished in a bold red with multi-coloured cloth interior that extends to the upper section of the door cards and dashboard, and featuring the rare front and rear light guards.
- The owner states that the original steel wheels were recently repainted in cream by Bespoke Alloys in Uxbridge, new wheels bolts were fitted, and four new Pirelli Winter 160 tyres were added.
- The car comes with the original service book stamped from 1989 through to 2019, handbooks, road tax discs, and original accessories within the engine compartment, including a spare wheel and torque wrench.
- The car displays its original numberplates and window sticker from the supplying dealer.
CONDITION
- The owner states that there is a minor scuff to the nearside rear wheel arch, but there is no significant bodywork damage.
- Reflecting its low-mileage history, the paintwork is in very good condition, with only a slight crease on the driver’s door below the rubbing strip, and a handful of very minor stone chips to the leading edge of the bonnet. The owner believes that some of the left rear quarter panel may have been resprayed at some point in the past.
- The interior appearance is very good, with the original cloth seats having only a small hole in the front passenger seat, but with no other notable wear.
- The owner notes that there is an odour of unknown origin in the interior that may be able to be rectified with an extensive interior deep clean, or by replacing some of the trim if desired.
- There are no known electrical faults.
- The most recent MOT test was in December 2020 at 37,282 miles, where the car passed first time with no advisories recorded.
SERVICE HISTORY
- The car was most recently serviced in August 2021 by Shelby Garage in Putney, where the oil and filter were changed as well as the fan belt.
- Prior to this, it was serviced in January 2019 at 36,551 miles and in January 2018 at 35,380 miles by Fiat Parkside in Hounslow.
