EQUIPMENT AND OPTIONS

• The Mini Thirty came with Minilite-style wheels, chrome bumpers, half-leather and half- cloth upholstery, a security coded stereo and a leather-bound copy of Rob Golding's ‘Mini: Thirty Years On’ book.
• It also features tinted window glass with original security etchings, original parcel shelf-mounted twin speakers, and period-correct window and fuel filler cap decals
• The original owner’s manual, service book, radio user guide and various pieces of 1980s promotional documentation will be supplied, along with a raft of maintenance invoices and MOT certificates.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• Its resprayed Cherry Red paintwork is in excellent condition, though a few minor imperfections have been pointed out, such as some small blemishes around the driver’s side indicator light, a crease inside the bonnet edge, and lightly worn front and rear valances.
• A few kerb scratches are visible on the Minilite-style wheels.
• Its black half-leather upholstery is entirely original, with some very early signs of stretching to the driver’s seat fabric, and one very minor crack to the red piping on the passenger seat.
• The outer edges of the roof lining are slightly stained, but this is only noticeable under close inspection.
• No electrical faults have been detected.
• The most recent MOT test was on 30 April 2021 at 28,625 miles, which was a pass with four advisories to monitor a minor front oil leak, a slightly damaged offside rear valve stem, a slightly damaged offside rear tyre, and a binding nearside rear service brake.

SERVICE HISTORY

• Its most scheduled maintenance was in April 2019 at 28,382 miles, where technicians at Formula 1 Autocentres in Leicester changed the engine oil and filter.
• Prior to this, similar routine maintenance was undertaken in September 2018 and March 2017.
• During the vendor’s ownership, the engine has been re-tuned, while the driver’s side seat belt reel has been replaced, a new exhaust has been fitted, and the headlight bullet connectors have been cleaned.

SUMMARY

This Austin Mini Thirty is a very well-maintained example of a limited-edition modern classic, which has been converted from an automatic to a manual transmission and presents very well throughout. Having covered less than 300 miles over the last two years, it deserves to be thoroughly enjoyed by its next enthusiast owner as often as possible.
