1988 ASTON MARTIN V8 VOLANTE EFI

• A 1988 model year car, built in September 1987, this V8 Volante is finished in the classic combination of British Racing Green over Biscuit hide, with dark green piping and dark green carpets.
• Introduced in 1986, the ‘EFI’ V8 featured Weber/Marelli electronic fuel injection system, which makes it a particularly usable modern classic today.
• According to figures published by Aston Martin Heritage Trust Registrar, Tim Cottingham, there were just 216 examples of the ‘EFI Volante’ built.
• It is equipped with the original BBS cross-spoke alloy wheels, electric windows, heated window, and cruise control.
• The car is now also fitted with a contemporary Alpine stereo head unit, and has a battery isolator switch in the trunk, along with a full-size spare wheel.

CONDITION

• There is no known bodywork damage.
• Subject of a full bare-metal respray, the British Racing Green finish looks superb today, with no unsightly blemishes or obvious marks. The extensive set of photos in the gallery shows the quality of the paintwork.
• Its beige soft top roof has some indentations and creases from being stored in the retracted position, but there does not appear to be any damage or wear to the roof.
• The interior has been re-trimmed with Biscuit leather throughout. The seats have the correct fluted centre panels and at the front are also fitted with headrest cushions.
• Its tonneau cover as well as the armrests in the door panels have been trimmed to match with dark green piping, while there are glossy burr wood veneers across the dashboard, door tops, and centre console.
• New Wilton wool carpets have been fitted in dark green to match the body colour, with Biscuit binding.
• The car has no known electrical or mechanical faults.

SERVICE HISTORY

In May 2020, the car was given a service as well as a full inspection by an Aston Martin main dealer, when a new crank position sensor was fitted, and no faults were found.
