KEY FACTS

• A good example of an iconic performance hero, which features a period Hartge performance upgrade.
• Under the bonnet is a tuned 3.5-litre M88/3 straight-six, producing around 300bhp, coupled to a five-speed manual transmission.

EQUIPMENT AND OPTIONS

• It left the factory finished in Lachssilber (Salmon Silver) with a black leather interior, and featuring the Shadow Line exterior trim along with BBS alloy wheels and the M Technic body kit.
• The interior specification includes air-conditioning, a rear window blind, an electric sunroof, electric front seat adjustment, and rear seat headrests.
• In 1992, the car was subject of a full upgrade to Hartge specification at BMW specialist Martek, including a revised ECU, exhaust, suspension, and brakes, different spoilers and wheels, and with the differential rebuilt. The steering wheel and gear knob were also changed.
• When the vendor acquired the car, almost all of these changes were reversed, putting the car back to its factory specification - with the exception of the Hartge engine upgrade.
• Accompanying the car is the original handbook and service book, full tool kit, spare wheel and jack, first aid kit, two keys and immobiliser fobs.

• The paintwork is described as being in fair to good condition around the car, and is thought to be original.
• The interior presents in good order considering the mileage, with no rips or tears in the upholstery, and only wear commensurate with age.
• No known electrical faults.
• The vendor states the clutch biting point is at the bottom of the pedal, but that it has been like this for around nine years and works well.
• Its last service took place in July 2020 at 140,872 miles at BMW specialist JC Racing.
• There are no known mechanical faults.
• The most recent MOT test was on 4 September 2020 at 140,917 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with two advisories, regarding some corrosion on the offside front brake pipe and the front-to-rear brake pipe.
