KEY FACTS

• Featuring a few choice upgrades, this is an exciting 1980s hot hatch icon, which remains in very good order.

EQUIPMENT AND OPTIONS

• Finished in the classic Diamond White factory hue with a grey patterned cloth interior, this Cosworth           also rides on its original 15-inch alloys.
• Its modifications become apparent when opening the engine bay. There is a large conical air filter, RS500 intercooler, and an alloy header tank.
• The car is also equipped with a Norris Motorsport ‘gunship’ conversion to circa 350bhp, Koni suspension, a forge dump valve, and a full Mongoose exhaust system.
• Accompanying the car is the original owner certificate, warranty plan book, stamped service record, and various paperwork. The original air filter is also included in the sale, along with an RS Cosworth car cover.

CONDITION

• No known body damage.
• The paintwork is believed to be all original and is in very good condition for its age, with only minor age-related marks. It has been regularly cleaned and detailed by the current owner.
• There is a chip in the windscreen, though this is not adversely affecting the driver’s view.
• All of the grey cloth upholstery is in good order, with no rips or tears, and only the odd scuff and age-related sagging of the fabric; but again it remains original and very well preserved.
• There are no known mechanical or electrical faults.
• The most recent MOT test was on 8 January 2021 at 96,813 miles, which was a pass with one advisory regarding a chip in the windscreen, after a fault with the nearside rear brake light was rectified.

SERVICE HISTORY

• Last serviced in May 2020 at 96,800 miles by Brookside Garage Chigwell, this was an engine oil and filter change, plus renewal of the cambelt and tensioner, and with inspection of the brakes and fluid levels, and oiling of locks and latches.
• The last documented service was in March 2008; however, the previous owner asserted to the vendor that he gave the car annual services while in his care.
