EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• First registered in January 1985, this early production ‘Monospecchio’ (single mirror) Testarossa is finished in Rosso Corsa with Beige leather-trimmed seats, Bordeaux piping, a brown dashboard and Bordeaux carpet.
• It rides on the correct set of metric single-nut (‘Monodada’) alloy wheels, which are lightly marked, but are in very good shape overall.
• The chromed ‘Cavallino’ emblem is believed to have been fitted when the car was new.
• This Testarossa will be accompanied by a book pack, including a replacement service record dating back to 1995, and other maintenance history paperwork.
• It will also be supplied with a rare six-piece black Schedoni luggage set with dust covers and a 2020 edition of Retro Classics magazine featuring this particular car.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• The bonnet and rear driver’s-side wing have previously been refinished, but the rest of the paintwork is believed to be original. It is in good overall condition, with some minor blemishes around the car, including stone chips on the bonnet and scuffs on the front chin spoiler.
• Inside, the cabin is trimmed in Beige leather and presents well, with some small marks throughout. There is some wear on the driver’s seat and damage to its red piping.
• There are no known mechanical or electrical faults.
• The air-conditioning system will require a re-gas following the engine rebuild.
• It is fitted with the correct metric tyres that meet legal requirements in terms of tread depth, though it would be prudent for the next owner to replace them on account of their age.

SERVICE HISTORY

This Testarossa’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in 2019 at approximately 40,000 miles by its previous owner, who rebuilt the engine, as well as replacing the timing belts, fan belts and spark plugs.

Furthermore, the clutch was replaced, the brake callipers were reconditioned and a leaking coolant expansion tank was replaced, among other items.

Prior to this, a major service including a belt change was carried out in 2003 at 37,784 miles, and the belts were also replaced in 1999 at 35,642 miles.
