• This genuine ‘Ur-Quattro’ is a beautifully presented and mechanically strong example of the motoring icon.
  • Features a turbocharged 2.1-litre inline-five cylinder motor paired with a five-speed manual transmission
  • The Quattro was the first front-engined car to feature a permanent four-wheel drive system and turbocharged engine, and went on to become a rally legend.

  • Delivered with air-conditioning, green digital LCD dash, and black leather interior from the factory
  • The Quattro has been fitted with a stainless steel exhaust system, and to the current owner’s knowledge is otherwise standard
  • Sold with the full set of Australian import documents, a comprehensive service history, tax discs and MOT from its life in the United Kingdom, and tool kit.

  • No known bodywork damage.
  • Various touch-ups have been performed over the years, including the front driver-side wing, which has faded differently to the rest of the paint, indicating that it was resprayed at some point in the car’s life.
  • The Tornado Red paintwork is mostly original and has been very well preserved. A few stone chips are present in exposed areas, as is to be expected.
  • Likewise, the original black leather interior is in good order. The gear lever top is slightly worn from use, but otherwise everything is in very good condition.
  • The car is mechanically strong and everything works well, including the electric windows, the LCD dash and the air-conditioning - which blows strong and cold. The electric aerial is stuck halfway down, but functions.
  • A technical inspection was carried out on 13 March 2021 and the car passed without warning or advisory.

  • Eagle & Raymond Automotive carried out a full service and tune at 118,000 miles, including replacing the front ABS sensors, a full rebuild of the fuel injection distributor, servicing and recharging the air-conditioning, and installing a new battery
  • Prior to that work, the entire cooling system was replaced, with a new upgraded radiator, new cooling fan and new water hoses also installed.
  • Rear differential oil seals, brakes and tyres have also been serviced recently.

Sold with excellent documentation of its history and care, this 1985 Audi Ur-Quattro has been well preserved and is a standout example of the iconic performance car. It is in fine mechanical order, with its owner praising its effortless ability to mix with modern traffic, and is ready to be enjoyed by another enthusiast.
