KEY FACTS

• A fine example of the appealing modern classic sports car, presented in the ever-popular colour combination of Rosso Corsa with tan leather upholstery complemented by the open-air targa roof.

• It rides on the correct set of 16-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels, which are in great shape.
• The US specification bumpers have been replaced with slimmer items to bring the car closer to European specification.
• This 308 will be accompanied by its owner’s manual and documentation of its recent maintenance, as well as its tool kit, jack and spare wheel.

CONDITION

• It is not known whether the Rosso Corsa paintwork has previously been resprayed, but it presents very well, with a bright and glossy appearance around the car and only a few minor stone chips, which have been touched in.
• Inside, the seats are trimmed in their original tan leather upholstery, which has recently been reconditioned and is very smart, with some light age-related creasing but no cuts, splits or tears.
• The interior trim also presents very well and has a charming light patina, most notably on the air conditioning control panel.
• This 308 starts, runs, shifts and drives beautifully, thanks to the tractable 2.9-litre Quattrovalvole powertrain.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults, and there are no warning lights showing on the dashboard.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This 308 GTS’ most recent routine maintenance was carried out in September 2017 by Spectrum Motor Centre, who tended to the car’s suspension components, including replacing its rubber bushes and rear anti-roll bar.
• Prior to this in 2015, North Coast Exotics of Cleveland, Ohio, performed a thorough engine service, replacing the belts, fuel injectors and fluids, as well as servicing the air conditioning system. The car has been driven less than 200 miles since this comprehensive service.

SUMMARY

This Ferrari 308 GTS QV is a smart and evidently well-cared-for example of the Pininfarina-designed modern classic. Presented in an iconic colour scheme and described by the vendor as being in excellent running and driving order, it could be a great introduction to classic Ferrari ownership, or a great addition to an existing collection.
