EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Introduced in 1983 when the Alfasud Sprint was given a substantial facelift and renamed simply as the ‘Sprint’, the sporty Quadrifoglio Verde model offered improved performance over its more sedate stablemates, and is set apart by its green exterior trim and optional rear spoiler.
• It rides on the correct set of eight-hole Speedline alloy wheels, which have recently been refurbished and are in great shape. While they are currently fitted with aftermarket centre caps, the originals will also be included with the car.
• A period-correct radio is fitted but is not currently wired in.
• The car will be accompanied by limited documentation of its history in France.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• Certainly refreshed in the past, the red paintwork is in good overall condition, with a few small scratches and stone chips around the car, but no significant damage or major blemishes.
• The exterior trim is also in good order, though the signature green stripes on the front and rear bumpers are cracking slightly.
• Inside, the original seats have been retrimmed in chequered fabric with grey velour bolsters and are in great shape, and their vinyl backs have been repaired by a specialist during the seller’s ownership.
• The interior trim also presents well, and while there are some small scratches on the steering wheel rim this is in line with the car’s age and use.
• The vendor notes that the radio is not currently wired in, one of the rear windows is very stiff and the windscreen wipers are slightly slow, but there are no other known electrical or mechanical faults.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 20 October 2020 at 68,776 km, which it passed after a number of issues were attended to, including corrosion to the bulkhead. Furthermore, advisories issued for worn front tyres, as well as slight play in the nearside front wheel bearing.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This Sprint’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out approximately five miles ago by classic vehicle mechanic Paul Perry. This included replacement of the oil, filter, and spark plugs, as well as stripping and cleaning of the carburettors.
• The brakes have also recently been overhauled.
• The seller believes that the car was serviced by an Alfa Romeo specialist during its time in France, who assured them that the cam belt had also been replaced.
• During their ownership, the current keeper has also tended to a number of minor electrical issues.
