KEY FACTS

• A gorgeous, custom-built light 911, which evokes the styling of the lauded ST racing model, and is presented in excellent condition throughout
• Under the engine lid is the air-cooled flat-six taken from a 964-generation 911, which has been tuned and enlarged to 3.8 litres. This drives the rear wheels via the six-speed manual transmission from a 993 Carrera 2 and a limited-slip differential.
• The vendor notes that the car has only covered 5,000km since its engine was fully overhauled.
• This 911 was first registered in July 1982. It was previously re-registered in the UK in May 2019, but has recently been moved to Belgium where it is located physically.
• To date, it has had only two keepers from new, and the seller acquired the car approximately five years ago.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• This ST evocation has been refinished in Dolphin Grey; an original 1960s colour for a 911.
• Both front wings have been replaced with carbon-fibre items from D. Moris, widened steel ST-style wings have been fitted at the rear, and a custom ‘ducktail’ spoiler adorns the engine lid.
• Inside, the cabin is home to a pair of custom-trimmed bucket seats, which feature leather-wrapped bolsters and black cloth centres, punctuated by brass eyelets.
• A bolt-in roll cage has also been added, along with lightweight carpets, a 911 RSR steering wheel, a 10,000rpm Porsche tachometer, and a Belmog Classic 202 rally meter.
• As mentioned above, the engine has been changed for the unit from a later 964-generation car, which has been enlarged from 3.6 to 3.8 litres, and fitted with a sports camshaft, a FVD mass airflow meter, an RS flywheel and heavy-duty engine mounts with polyurethane bushes.
• The car’s handling has also been transformed, thanks to the addition of Elephant Racing’s GT3 front suspension system, quick-change camber plates, front and rear Von street coilovers, and quick-change blade-type anti-roll bars.
• Stopping power is provided by brakes taken from a 964-generation 911 Turbo, and additional modifications including the car’s Elephant Racing oil cooler kit, its rebuilt starter motor/alternator, its custom-fabricated exhaust system and its centrally mounted fuel tank.
• The car will be accompanied by a raft of invoices and bills for its past maintenance and modification.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• The resprayed Dolphin Grey paintwork is reported to be in excellent order.
• Inside, the re-trimmed cabin is similarly impressive, with no perceptible wear on the seats, the leather-wrapped steering wheel or any of the main touchpoints.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 2 February 2021 at an indicated 10,110 km, resulting in a clean, first-time pass.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This custom-built 911’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in August 2017 at 8,750km by DEVOS Luc Autotechniek, who performed a full service and adjusted the valves.
• Prior to this, the gearbox was fully rebuilt in August 2017, and the engine was completely rebuilt in April 2017.
• During the seller’s ownership the car has been serviced as required, and all four tyres have been replaced.

SUMMARY

This 1982 Porsche 911 ST Evocation is a stunning classic sports car, which has been fully refurbished and custom-built as a tribute to the ST racers of the early 1970s.
