CONDITION

• There is no known bodywork damage, though there is visible corrosion on the rear wheel arches.
• Believed to have been partly or fully resprayed in the past, the Astral Silver paintwork presents well overall. However, there are some noticeable blemishes, including a mark on the bootlid beneath the ‘230 CE’ badge and bubbling beneath the rear bumper.
• The exterior trim presents well, but some of the fins on the driver’s-side air intake below the windscreen have broken away, and there is a dent in the chrome trim strip beneath the driver’s side window. The chromed hub caps for the wheels have some dents, scuffs and scratches on their surfaces.
• Inside, the cabin is in fair condition, with some general signs of wear and tear, in line with the car’s age. This includes wear on the driver’s seat’s base and piping, staining on the passenger seat and scratches on the steering wheel rim and door pulls. The dashboard vinyl has a small split below the driver’s-side air vent, and the wood trim on the glove box lid has broken away.
• While the electric rear quarter windows are somewhat temperamental, there are no other known electrical issues.
• The car’s last MOT test was conducted on 26 April 2021 at an indicated 33,897 miles. This resulted in a first-time pass, with advisories for a worn nearside anti-roll bar linkage pin or bush and fluctuation in the offside rear service brake, though this was not deemed to be excessive.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This handsome classic’s most recent routine maintenance was an oil and filter change, which was carried out by RCW Autos in May 2021.
• The original service booklet remains with the car.
