This Mercedes-Benz 200 is a very well-preserved example of an elegant classic, with genuine low mileage and single family ownership from new. Under the bonnet sits a 107bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, coupled with a five-speed manual transmission. The odometer currently indicates 45,631 miles, and the car is offered for sale at No Reserve.

First registered in October 1982, this W123 model has been with its current keeper for 10 years, with only one previous keeper, who was the vendor’s father. It has spent all of its life in a secure garage when not in use, and is now presented in entirely unmodified condition.

The bodywork of this Mercedes is all in good shape, and though the condition of the white paintwork is very good for its age, the vendor has reported a number of minor blemishes. A few small scratches are visible on the doors, with the seller noting that the driver’s door appears to have been opened into a low wall. There is some slight damage visible around the base of the aerial, alongside a few stone chips to the front bumper and bonnet, though these are commensurate with the mileage. Some corrective paint has also been applied to the black sections of the wing mirrors, but this is only noticeable under close inspection.

Inside, the seats feature vinyl outer sections with fabric centre panels, and present with just some age-related creasing. The vendor has reported one very small scuff on the driver’s door card, while a few small creases can be seen in the dashboard trim. The wood veneer which accents the dashboard and centre console appears to be free of any significant wear, while the original stereo remains in the car, and all of the electrics are believed to work as they should.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in August 2019, where technicians at A.R. Mills Motors in Banbury changed the engine oil, before fitting a new alternator, battery, aerial and exhaust, along with new exhaust rubbers and brake hoses. The brakes were also removed and thoroughly cleaned. Prior to this, main dealer technicians in Leeds changed the engine oil, filter and spark plugs in May 2012, before fitting a new nearside front lower ball joint.

The most recent MOT test was on 19 April 2021 at 45,624 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. Accompanying the vehicle are the original handbooks and service book, plus the full tool roll.

This W123-era Mercedes-Benz 200 is an elegant classic saloon with low mileage, which is presented in original and remarkably well-preserved condition.
