EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• This Alfasud Sprint Veloce is finished in its original hue of Blu Posillipo with grey herringbone cloth and black vinyl-trimmed seats, which the vendor believes have been taken from a later series car.
• It rides on the correct set of 13-inch steel wheels, which are finished in silver and are in very good shape overall, with some minor painted-over kerb scuffs on their rims but no significant marks or damage.
• The car’s only modification is its period-appropriate ANSA sports exhaust silencer.
• The car will be accompanied by its Australian papers, as well as its original spare wheel, jack and tool kit.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• Believed to have been externally resprayed during the car’s time in Australia, probably due to sun bleaching in the antipodean climate, the Blu Posillipo paintwork is in good overall condition, with some minor blemishes and in line with its use.
• The paintwork has minor bubbling at the bottom of the passenger-side wheel arch, which may require attention in due course.
• Inside, it is thought that the cabin has been fitted with the seats from a later series Sprint, but the upholstery is in great shape, and there are only a few very minor use-related marks on the door cards and plastic trim items.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults.
• The car’s first UK MOT test was conducted on 28 September 2020 at an indicated 31,240km, which resulted in a clean pass after various issues with the lights, windscreen washer and parking brake were rectified.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This Alfasud Sprint Veloce’s most recent routine maintenance was a full service and mechanical overhaul, which was carried out in September 2020 at 31,238 km by Italian car specialist Tanc Barratt.
• As well as changing the timing belts, engine oil and oil filter, Tanc Barratt also overhauled the carburettors and the braking system, replaced the front shock absorbers, lower arm bushes and exhaust manifolds, fitted ‘new old stock’ outer headlamps and installed a rear fog lamp to meet UK MOT test requirements.
• Prior to this, the car was serviced and prepared for export to the UK in 2019 by Collie Auto-Tech of Western Australia, and its former keeper was a dedicated Alfa Romeo enthusiast and collector, who maintained the car to a high standard throughout their ownership.
