  • Weighing around 720kg, this RS 1000 can reach a top speed of around 125mph.
  • In 2006, the car took part in a handover ceremony beside the Dresden Frauenkirche, which was featured on the German news program ‘Tagesthemen’.

SUMMARY

This Melkus RS 1000 is a very good example of the 1970s sports car, boasting an uprated 1.3-litre Müller-Andernach engine, a gorgeous Ferrari Giallo Modena finish and various tasteful modifications. One of only 101 examples ever produced, it would make an eye-catching and exceptionally rare addition to any collection of classic automobiles.
