• Based on the Series II Jaguar XJ Coupe; it is understood to be one of just 587 Daimler 4.2 versions built for the 1976 model year.
• This generation of the Daimler Sovereign has a raised front bumper and shallower grille.
• Finished in Golden Sand over Tan leather, it rides on the period-correct 15-inch ‘Kent’ alloy wheels.
• Cabin equipment includes electric windows and a heated rear screen, and it has also been fitted with a more contemporary Sony stereo head unit.
• The transmission is of the correct type, but it has been replaced as the original unit was faulty.

CONDITION

• There is no known bodywork damage.
• Its Golden Sand paintwork is described as being in excellent condition, following a full exterior respray.
• Most of the chromework is also in very good condition, with the vendor noting just a little rust on the rear bumper.
• The interior is original and in good order, with the Tan leather seats showing a time-worn ‘patina’ with surface creasing and some discolouration, and minor wear to the outer bolster on the driver’s side. There are small scuffs and marks here and there, but overall it looks very smart considering its 45 years of age.
• There are no known electrical faults.
• The car has not been put through an MOT test, and is exempt on the basis of age.
