KEY FACTS

• A fantastic example of the classic Italian coupe, presented in impressive condition following a recent cosmetic restoration.
• Under the bonnet is the Fulvia’s characterful 1.3-litre V4 engine, which drives the front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
• First registered in 1975, this late-production car has spent much of its life in Spain.
• It was imported into the UK and registered with the DVLA in November 2018, and its previous owner carried out a comprehensive restoration and full bare metal respray the following year.
• The seller acquired the car in September 2020, and has covered only 600 miles during their ownership, with the vehicle being kept in a heated and dehumidified garage when not in use.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Produced from 1974 until the model’s retirement in 1976, the Series III Lancia Fulvia can be identified by its matt black front grille and headlamp surrounds, as well as its white-faced gauges and redesigned front seats with headrests.
• As part of its restoration, this example was carefully refinished in the timeless hue of Grigio Escoli Metallizzato, and features black leatherette upholstery.
• It rides on a set of desirable 14-inch Cromodora alloy wheels.
• As well as being refurbished, this 1.3-litre Fulvia has also been cosmetically enhanced for a more racy appearance, and features the flared wheel arches usually found on the 1600HF.
• As on the 1600HF, the front and rear bumpers have also been removed, and polished plugs and air inlet trims have been fitted.
• The car will be accompanied by a number of invoices and receipts for its various replacement parts and recent maintenance
• The cherished registration ‘FLV 1A’ is NOT included in the sale. It will be switched back to an age-related plate.

CONDITION

• No known prior bodywork damage.
• Fully resprayed in February 2019 at a total cost of more than £3,700, the paintwork is in excellent condition, with a bright and glossy appearance around the whole car.
• While it is not known whether the cabin has previously been re-trimmed, it presents very well indeed, with only a few minor blemishes, including cracking of the leatherette on the outer side of the driver’s seat and a small split towards the front of the rear bench.
• There are no known mechanical faults.
• The handbrake warning light on the dashboard intermittently stays on after the handbrake is released. This clears after re-engaging then dis-engaging the handbrake. This should be straightforward to remedy by investigating the sensor beneath the handbrake. There are no other known electrical faults.
• The car was put through an MOT test on 18 October 2018 at 69,575 km, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories. It is exempt from mandatory testing on the basis of age.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This Fulvia’s most recent routine maintenance was in March 2021 at 72,158km by Lancia specialist Auto Integrale, who carried out an engine oil, filter and spark plug change, as well as fitting an electronic ignition system and replacing the rocker cover and gasket.
