This Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV is an iconic 1970s sporting GT, in true concours condition with the trophy to match. Under the bonnet is the 2.0-litre twin-cam inline-four, which produces around 130bhp and drives the rear wheels via the five-speed manual transmission. The odometer indicates 49,420 miles.

An original right-hand drive example, this 105-series Alfa was first registered in September 1974. With just four documented owners since new, the vehicle has been continuously registered and comes with the original and matching HPG-823 number plates. Another appealing touch is that it still bears its original sales dealership rear screen decal from Alec Mildren Alfa Romeo.

The exterior presents in truly wonderful condition in the exceptionally rare hue of Prugna, having undergone a full respray and body restoration – and a photo disc is available with the car detailing the work completed. Purchased in 2012 by Michael Stillone of Still-One Automotive Restorations, the vehicle was stripped back to bare metal, with all panels and the undercarriage returned to as-new condition. A full respray in the original Prugna colour followed.

Inside, the Alfa is in similarly noteworthy condition, with the seats, door cards, all rubbers and carpet in superb order having been fully refreshed during the vehicle's restoration. The work was completed using only the very best parts from Italy; from Alfa Romeo specialist Cicognani and other preferential origin suppliers. During the current owner's time with the vehicle, the dash was repaired and reskinned by Melbourne's The Dashboard Doctor. The tachometer and water temperature gauge were repaired in March 2021.

Lifting the bonnet reveals the glorious 2.0-litre twin-cam engine that produces up to 130bhp and presents in the same exceptional condition as the remainder of the vehicle. The most recent service was completed in March 2021 by renowned Alfa Romeo mechanic, Mick Mitchell, of Sydney's Corse Automotive & Motorsport. The same workshop also performed a full service on the vehicle in 2019 and in 2018, when the Alfa was also treated to a brake and suspension overhaul to original specifications.

The most recent technical inspection was carried out on 16 September 2020 with no advisories or warnings issued for the vehicle. The current owner has also replaced the tyres and reports that they are in excellent condition.

Accompanying the vehicle is the original service book, original owner's handbook, original service guide, and the Automobilismo Storico Centro Documentazione verifying the originality of the vehicle with production records. Underscoring the outstanding quality of the restoration is its 2017 Alfa Romeo Concorso d'Eleganza Class 105 1st place trophy.
