EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Originally finished in Byzanz Gold Metallic, this 350 SLC has recently been repainted in Diamond Blue Metallic from Mercedes’ 1970s palette.
• Other than the repaint, the car remains in its original specification, including the full black leather upholstery.
• The car was specified with a sunroof, and the cabin features a Becker Europa Kurier radio.
• Accompanying the car is the original title document.
• It was first registered in March 1973, and was purchased to join the collection around six years ago.

CONDITION

• There are no signs of any previous body damage or repairs.
• Its Diamond Blue Metallic paintwork is new and still looks superb, with an even shine across the panels. All of the brightwork and badging is present and correct, and also finished to an excellent standard.
• The interior is wholly original, so as expected there is notable wear to the front seats in particular, and discolouration to the outer bolsters. While they could be used perfectly well as-is - original patina is irreplaceable after all - the next owner may wish to have a re-connolising process carried out to improve their appearance.
• Both sun visors are also discoloured, and to a lesser extent the headlining as well. The boot lining is also worn, and the vendor notes an odour in the cabin.
• There are no known electrical faults.

SUMMARY

This Mercedes-Benz 350 SLC is a sound example of a classic V8 coupe. It was initially delivered in Germany, not far from the vendor’s own premises, and had only two previous owners prior to joining the current collection. Retaining its original interior, and with its engine and other mechanicals running well, this is a sophisticated 1970s Mercedes that is ready to enjoy.
