KEY FACTS

• A beautiful, fully restored example of the elegant classic roadster, which has covered just 2,000 miles since its refurbishment.

• Finished in the charming and period-correct hue of Sandy Beige with a textured dark brown vinyl interior, this 280 SL is also equipped with a Becker Grand Prix radio and a factory-fitted air-conditioning system.
• It rides on a new set of chromed 14-inch steel wheels with body-coloured hubcaps, which are unmarked, shod with five new Michelin MXV tyres.
• The metal ashtray for the centre console is included in the sale.
• The car will be accompanied by its jack and full-sized spare wheel, as well as an extensive history file.

CONDITION

• Tended to during its restoration, all of the car’s body panels are original, and show no signs of damage or corrosion.
• Having been fully resprayed, the Sandy Beige paintwork is excellent, and has a bright, glossy appearance around the whole vehicle.
• The convertible hood has also been replaced, and remains in great shape.
• Retrimmed to a very high standard, the cabin is pristine, with no noticeable wear on the seats, carpets or trim, though the metal ashtray is missing from the central storage tray.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults.
• The vendor states that the car’s last roadworthiness inspection was carried out in May 2019, which resulted in a pass without a single warning.

SERVICE HISTORY

• During its restoration, this Pagoda’s engine, gearbox and brakes were all refurbished, and the suspension was fully overhauled.
• The timing chain was replaced approximately 1,000 miles ago.
