• Modifications include a retrofitted overdrive unit and freewheeling hubs, new ‘deluxe’-style front seats and parabolic springs for improved ride comfort, while the new battery has also been relocated from under the bonnet to inside the auxiliary battery bay beneath the passenger seat, protected by an isolator for added security.
• This Series IIA will be accompanied by a certified copy of its factory record from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust and all of its MOT test certificates from 2012 onwards.

CONDITION

• The side-opening tailgate, door bottoms and one door top have been replaced. There is no known bodywork damage, save some small dents, in line with the vehicle’s use.
• The Pastel Green paintwork has been fully resprayed and is in excellent overall condition, with no substantial marks or blemishes.
• Inside, the front seats have been replaced with black vinyl ‘deluxe’ items and are pristine, while the folding rear benches are also very smart.
• The interior trim, gauges and switchgear are all in good order, with an attractive time-earned ‘patina’.
• The vendor notes that the auxiliary power sockets on the dashboard are not currently connected, but there are no other known electrical or mechanical faults.
• While it is exempt due to its age, the vehicle’s last MOT test was conducted on 15 December 2020 at 96,993 miles, resulting in a clean, first-time pass.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This classic Land Rover’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in July 2021 at approximately 97,000 miles by marque specialist 4x4 Management, who changed the engine oil and filter as well as carrying out a light mechanical refurbishment, which included replacement of the full exhaust system and manifold, the carburettor, distributor, fuel lift pump, water pump, starter motor and the clutch plate.
• Furthermore, the front sidelights, indicators and rear lamp lenses were also renewed.
