EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• The build is based upon an original left-hand drive GT 1300 Junior ‘Stepnose’, which was first registered in 1968.
• Its 2.0-litre Nord engine is fuelled by Weber 45 carburettors and is a nut-and-bolt engine rebuild featuring larger valves and improved connecting rods, among other upgrades.
• The car now features a stainless-steel manifold and exhaust system.
• An Alfaholics rally paddle clutch kit is present and has been set up on a rolling road.
• High-quality lightweight aluminium upgrades are present, including GTA doors, steering box casing, rear suspension T-Bar, pedal set and a new lightweight fuel tank and oil cooler.
• The car features Alfaholics suspension upgrades which include adjustable springs, and dampers, lightweight wishbones, as well as an uprated Alfaholics four-pot brake kit, and gold GTA wheels.
• On the exterior, it features an Alfaholics fibreglass wheel arch kit, and mesh grille set adding a competitive period appearance to the front of the car.
• Inside, it has been fitted with leather bucket front seats, while the rear seats have been removed and a full roll cage has been fitted in their place.
• The full carbon dashboard was also sourced from Alfaholics.
• The car’s headlining and door cards have been removed, the door cards replaced with lightweight aluminium panels, the windows replaced with GTAm Lexan windows and the dashboard with a lightweight composite Alfaholics version.
• The car is accompanied by a description of the restoration and all maintenance invoices from the restoration itself, and a raft of invoices for the Alfaholics engine and components.

CONDITION

• There is no known bodywork damage.
• The Rosso paintwork is in excellent condition, as shown in the gallery below.
• Inside, the seats and interior panels show no signs of wear at all.
• The vendor reports that there are no mechanical issues or electrical faults.
• The car’s most recent test of roadworthiness was carried out in June 2021 which the vendor reports presented a clean result with no advisories.
• The most recent service was carried out in March 2020 at Scuderia Baldini in Rome, which was the conclusion of the full restoration and upgrade programme.

SUMMARY

This Alfa Romeo is a fine tribute to the 2000 GTAm competition cars, featuring various period-correct features and a fantastic selection of renowned Alfaholics upgrades. It presents in very good cosmetic and mechanical order, and it has only been driven sparingly since its full professional rebuild and conversion.
