1966 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK

This 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback is a striking classic American muscle car, which benefits from a sympathetic restoration and now presents in very good order throughout. Under the bonnet sits the 289ci (4.7-litre) A-code V8 engine producing around 225hp, coupled to a four-speed manual transmission. The odometer currently indicates 89,833 miles.

First registered in December 1966, this Ford Mustang was imported to the UK in recent years and re-registered on 1 June 2014. It has been in the hands of its current keeper for the last three years, with only one previous UK owner.

The instantly recognisable bodywork of this Mustang presents very well, with flush shut lines, smooth panels and a resprayed finish, complete with two black racing stripes from front to back. The elegant chrome badging and body trim all appears as it should, while the vehicle rides on a set of 15-inch ‘Styled’ GT wheels with red centre caps, presenting in good order on all four corners.

Inside, the ‘Deluxe’ style trim covering the front seats is in excellent condition, presenting with minimal signs of use. The rear seats are upholstered with a simpler fluted pattern, and are also in great shape. Its stylish dashboard setup and surrounding chrome trim are in superb order, as are the door cards. All of the switchgear is reported to work as it should, and there are no warning lights on the dashboard.

The most recent MOT test was on 9 July 2019 at 89,756 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects. The wheels come wrapped with a set of Bridgestone Turanza tyres, which are date-coded to 2008, and are reported to be in good condition.
