KEY FACTS

• One of just 99 right-hand drive cars built, this 1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia GTC is a trophy-winning example of the extremely rare convertible.
• Under the hood lies a 1.6-litre twin-cam inline-four paired with a 105-series five-speed manual transmission.
• This is one of six Australian-delivered right-hand drive GTCs and has been lovingly restored to original specifications.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Based on the Giulia Sprint GT chassis and mechanicals, the Giulia GTC was only made between 1964 and 1966, with Carrozzeria Touring of Milan engaged to create the cabriolet bodywork. Fewer than 1,000 of the cars were built, with just 99 of those produced in right-hand drive.
• The car has been comprehensively restored, including a bare metal respray, with the work completed to the original specifications while retaining original major componentry.
• It will be sold with a book of photos covering the restoration process, as well as the trophy it won in the Alfa Romeo Owners Club of Australia’s Victoria Division Spettacolo 2019 Show and Shine.

CONDITION

• The comprehensive set of photographs below show a car in fine cosmetic condition. Carrozzeria Touring’s elegant coachwork presents very well, as does the convertible roof and tonneau cover, wheels and the various chrome trims.
• The car received a bare-metal respray in the Azzuro Spazio colour, and the paintwork has been very well maintained. There are some very minor flaws which are documented in the images, including near the driver’s door handle, at the edge of the rear bumper and inside the passenger door.
• The interior was re-trimmed during the restoration, and seats, linings, carpets, trim and controls are in excellent condition.
• The engine was re-conditioned during the restoration. The Alfa has no known mechanical or electrical issues.
• The most recent roadworthiness test was conducted by Vicroads some 4 years ago when the car was transferred into the current owner’s name. The car passed without issue.

SERVICE HISTORY

• Maranello Pur Sang Motors are to perform a full service including oil change on the car at 86,500 miles on 8 October 2021.
• The Alfa now only sees around 200 km of use each year, and has been entrusted to Maranello Pur Sang for routine maintenance every 12 months during the current six-year ownership. The car as shown running in the video had not been serviced for 12 months but still runs smoothly.
