EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• Produced between 1964 and 1966, the MkII Midget benefitted from numerous minor upgrades such as external door handles, swiveling quarter lights, and a curved windscreen with a thicker frame.
• The engine block was also strengthened, increasing power to 59bhp, along with the rear springs being upgraded to semi-ecliptic types, which improved the ride quality.
• This particular example has had the bumpers removed during the restoration process, giving it a racier appearance.
• Included with the vehicle are numerous old MOT certificates, the V5 document, and a DVD which details the extensive restoration carried out.

CONDITION

• There is no damage to the bodywork.
• As part of the restoration, the paintwork was completely resprayed, and as a result it is now in superb condition.
• All four of the wheels are pristine with no kerbing marks or other damage.
• The tonneau cover is in good order and shows no rips or tears, but does have a slightly aged appearance to the material and the stitching.
• The cabin was partly re-trimmed during the restoration process, and presents in great condition, with no significant wear to speak of. The original dashboard, instrument gauges, rear-view mirror and the handbrake and gear shifter were retained, lending a handsome ‘patina’ to this otherwise restored example.
• There are no known faults with the vehicle, and no warning lights present on the dashboard.
• On account of its age, this MG Midget is exempt from mandatory MOT testing.

SERVICE HISTORY

• Other than the restoration which is documented in the accompanying DVD, there is no formal service history present with the vehicle.
• Underneath, the restoration work is evident, as the chassis and A-series engine, along with its ancillaries, all present in wonderful condition.
