CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• Given the vehicle’s previous use as a work truck, the paintwork may have been resprayed in the past, but now has a charming time-worn ‘patina’, with light surface corrosion, scratches, scuffs and other marks helping to tell the tale of this well-worn workhorse.
• The cabin was fully refitted in 2016, and the blue and cream leather-clad seats are very smart, with no rips or tears on their surfaces, and only light signs of wear, in line with the truck’s well-used appearance.
• Scratches, scuffs and some small rust spots on the metal interior trim continue the theme; however, the headlining is sagging and would benefit from being replaced or reaffixed.
• There is an intermittent fault with the horn, but otherwise there are no known electrical or mechanical issues.
• The original radio has been disconnected and a more modern Sony unit has been loosely fitted in the glovebox to provide Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
• While it is exempt due to its age, the vehicle’s last MOT test was conducted on 16 May 2017 at 83,005 miles, resulting in a clean, first-time pass.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This F100’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out by its owner in June 2021. In addition to an engine service, this also included replacement of the shock absorbers and the water pump, while the radiator was replaced with an alloy item and the front and rear brakes and brake lines were changed, complete with a power brake upgrade.
• Prior to this, the truck was serviced by its owner every 12 months regardless of its mileage.

SUMMARY

An undisputed icon, the classic Ford F-series truck is a rugged slice of 1960s Americana.
