- Its 1.3-litre engine features a short inlet manifold, matched and flowed to a 40DCOE Weber carburettor. It has Cooper S castings, and the engine is mounted to a new Jack Knight transmission and LSD.
- The car now has fully adjustable rose-jointed suspension, professionally corner weighted for fast road use. It rides on Force Racing 10-inch alloys with new Yokohama tyres, with a second set of wheels also included.
- Braking is by four-pot callipers with vented discs.
- The exterior features Jim Barrett Bespoke Leather bonnet straps, and Italian Job-style mounted triple front spotlights.
- It has been upgraded with a carbon-fibre and fibreglass front end with separate bonnet, professionally fabricated inner metal wings, carbon-fibre boot floor, and fibreglass doors and boot lid. There are also custom Perspex side and rear windows, which have all been professionally bonded.
- Inside, there is a bespoke dashboard with analogue stopwatches, a full FIA-compliant roll cage, and a plumbed-in Lifeline 2000 fire extinguisher.
- There are Sparco Sprint V racing seats with four-point harnesses, a Momo quick-release steering wheel, aluminium passenger footrest, and a master battery cut-off switch.
- Its British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate is included, along with a raft of maintenance documents, a battery operated fuel filler and a sump guard protector.
CONDITION
- The bodywork has undergone a seven-coat repaint in Audi Alpine White and Land Rover Bali Blue, also benefiting from a Gtechniq ceramic coating and a layer of PPF on the bonnet and roof.
- It now presents in superb condition, with no wear or damage.
- The bespoke interior is in good order, and all of the switchgear controls work as they should.
- The most recent MOT test was on 4 March 2019 at an indicated 657 miles, which was a clean pass with no advisories or defects.
SERVICE HISTORY
- In 2019 and 2020, the car has been given fresh Mobil 1 oil and AP Racing Formula Dot 5.1 performance brake fluid.
- It remains in great shape following its restoration and conversion to racing specification, and has not yet seen any competition.
