EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• As a 1960 model-year example, this coupe represents the final year of the second-generation ‘Square Bird’ production, and is set apart by its triple-light rear clusters.
• The data plate indicates that this car was fitted with a 2.91:1 rear axle from the factory.
• Its original factory colours were Sultana Turquoise and Corinthian White for the exterior, and with matching Turquoise trim – and it retains that colour scheme today.
• This Thunderbird will be accompanied by its correct handbook and service manual, as well as a folder of receipts and invoices for its maintenance.

CONDITION

• No known bodywork damage.
• Believed to have been fully resprayed as part of the restoration, the Sultana Turquoise paintwork is in excellent overall condition, and while there are a few minor stone chips around the car, these are minor imperfections.
• The exterior trim and brightwork also present very well, and the seller has replaced any items which they deemed to be substandard, including the wheel trim medallions and roof mouldings.
• Inside, the cabin is thought to feature all of its original seat upholstery, which is still very smart given the car’s age, with an attractive light patina on the leather. The instruments have aged slightly.
• There are no known electrical or mechanical faults with the vehicle.

SERVICE HISTORY

• This Thunderbird is kept in a secure storage facility, and has been routinely serviced by its custodians.
• During the seller’s ownership, the engine oil, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter and brake shoes have been replaced and a wheel alignment has been carried out.
• Furthermore, the engine has previously been rebuilt, and now runs on standard unleaded fuel.
