KEY FACTS

• A very smart example of the final iteration of the original ‘XK’ family of cars, benefiting from a prior restoration.
• Under the elegant bonnet sits a 210bhp 3.4-litre DOHC ‘SE’ inline-six engine, which is coupled to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
• From the mid-1980s to 1995, this XK150 was owned by the late British TV and film star Christopher Cazenove.

EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES

• The ‘S’ chassis prefix denotes the SE specification engine, featuring twin 1.75” SU HD6 carburettors and a modified B-type cylinder head with larger exhaust valves, boosting power to 210bhp.
• As indicated by the ‘DN’ chassis suffix, this XJ150 is fitted with the desirable overdrive unit on the transmission, and has also been retro-fitted with power steering to improve the drivability of the vehicle on long journeys and around town.
• The car is also fitted with disc brakes and upgraded Coopercraft calipers.
• Included with the sale are the original handbook, a file of service history, tool kit, jack and hammer for the ‘knock-off’ wheel nuts.

CONDITION

• There is no known damage to the bodywork, with shut lines and panel gaps looking flush and even.
• The paintwork has been renewed in the past – HPI shows a colour change from green to blue in 1996 – and it is in generally excellent condition, though there are some marks to the leading edge of the bonnet, along with small stone chips to the front end and exposed edges.
• Inside, the cabin has benefitted from a re-trim during its lifetime, and as such presents superbly for its age with only modest surface wear visible, and with a smart ‘patina’ to the Moto-Lita steering wheel. There is also some wear to the driver’s heel pad.
• The folding soft top looks to be in great shape with no signs of any rips or discolouration, and the mechanism is evidently in good working order.
• There are no known faults with the vehicle.
• This XK150 SE is exempt from mandatory MOT testing on account of its age.

SERVICE HISTORY

• The latest work on the vehicle was carried out by the owner, which included the fitment of a new clutch and flywheel.
• There is a good service history file accompanying the car.
