The Track Edition Collection

Offered from a single private collector in Australia, The Track Edition Collection comprises seven vehicles, all being outstanding examples of iconic driver’s cars. They also represent the full spectrum of performance models; from a lightweight roadster to hot hatches, and from riotous ‘super sedans’ to finely honed track-focused coupes.

At the ‘entry level’, there is a subtly tuned 2010 Mazda MX-5 (NC2) Roadster, with upgrades to the handling and exhaust system, as well as a 2013 Renault Clio RS200 Cup, representing one of the all-time great hot hatches. An exceptionally rare 2015 Renault Megane RS275 Trophy-R is also part of the collection, which has less than 18,000km on the clock and remains completely original and unmodified.

The first of two coupes in the collection; the 2017 BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition is a stunning as-new example of the marque’s limited-run tribute to its success in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters series. Surely no collection of driver’s cars would be complete without a Porsche 911, and the model here is a track-focused 991.2 GT3 Clubsport; a stunning analogue sports car with a great specification and just 397km on the odometer.

Flying the flag for Australia are two very rare and special cars from Holden Special Vehicles (HSV). Both are Gen-F cars based on the VF Commodore; the first being a 1-of-150 Clubsport R8 Track Edition, equipped with 340kW/462PS naturally aspirated V8, re-engineered HSV suspension and a limited-slip differential. Finally, the HSV GTSR W1 represents one of the most coveted ‘super sedans’ ever built, and was a fitting farewell to Holden’s Australian production. With its supercharged 474kW/636bhp 6.2-litre LS9 alloy V8 and six-speed close-ratio manual transmission, it has sensational performance and remains in immaculate condition with just 1,425km from new.

These ‘magnificent seven’ performance cars represent a fantastic variety of driver-focused machines. While most have never been on the track and have been kept as collectibles in pristine condition, they are ready to enjoy as intended, and will no doubt thrill their next owners, wherever they choose to drive them.
