Turbo Collection Sale on CC (2)

Update: The Turbo Collection is now live for bids.

It’s easy to forget that at the beginning of the 1970s, the Porsche 911 Turbo didn’t exist. It was in 1973 that Porsche unveiled the design concept in Frankfurt, and the first turbocharged 911 was delivered a year later to Louise Piëch, fitted with a 2.7-litre test engine.

Over the last 50 years, the Turbo has become one of the most sought-after Porsche 911s, blending prodigious pace with daily driver usability. To mark its landmark anniversary in 2024, Collecting Cars is joining forces with Porsche Club GB to offer ‘The Turbo Collection’, celebrating five decades of forced-induction cars from Stuttgart.

This special auction event will be global and will take place from 8th-15th September, so Collecting Cars is now inviting consignments worldwide for well-presented and fastidiously maintained examples – and especially those rare variants that are hard to find in the market.

Our team has sold more than 300 examples of the Porsche 911 Turbo over the last five years, spanning every generation from 930 to 992 – proving that it’s a great way to find a new home for your cherished sports car.

Among the highlights to date have been three 930 Turbo LEs, of which just 53 were delivered to the UK. One such car in Baltic Blue with just under 34,000 miles from new sold for £152,000. No fewer than seven right-hand-drive 964 Turbo 3.6 cars have also changed hands, including one in sought-after Slate Grey Metallic that found a winning bid of £214,000.

More than 45 different 993 Turbos have been sold, including two exceptional Turbo S models, with a PTS Ocean Blue car achieving an incredible £397,500. Even more popular is its successor, the 996 Turbo; with more than 80 cars sold, including a lesser-seen and very low-mileage Turbo S variant that fetched £85,500 – which remains a UK auction record.

Over 30 examples of the 991 Turbo have changed hands on the platform, including a sensational Turbo S Exclusive Series; one of just 500 cars built. Finished in stunning Golden Yellow Metallic paintwork, with a raft of carbon-fibre elements and showing just 138 miles from new, it sold for £260,000.
