Collecting Cars Returns to Stuttgart’s Mercedes-Benz Museum for a Spectacular Summer Coffee Run
by Collecting Cars
On Sunday the 4th of August Collecting Cars returned to Stuttgart’s stunning Mercedes-Benz Museum for another well-attended Coffee Run, bringing together enthusiasts, their families, and a host of automotive icons.
More than 870 guests gathered around the striking modern structure, and the 470 cars that arrived were just as eye-catching.
Given that the event was held in partnership with the Mercedes-Benz Museum it should come as little surprise that some of the marque’s most recognisable models were in attendance, including the 300SL Gullwing and Roadster, and the fire-breathing SLS AMG Black Series.
It just wouldn’t be a Collecting Cars event without some iconic Porsches turning up, including a 964-generation 3.6-litre 911 Turbo, and a group of friends from a US military base also came along to represent the Stuttgart-based favourites.
Germany’s lower-production manufacturers were also represented, thanks to the appearance of five rare Wiesmanns, whose classic-influenced styling and modern underpinnings help to bridge the gap between past and present car design.
And, for those who prefer a slice of ‘la dolce vita’, there were plenty of Maranello’s finest on display, including a Ferrari Dino, a 296, and a sensational 812.
Of course, being a Coffee Run, there were plenty of refreshments on hand, including free coffee for attendees, ice cream, and sausages (Germany has a reputation to uphold).
Thank you to everyone who came to the event and made it such a success, including the owners who showed off their wonderful cars, the enthusiasts who attended, all of the hardworking staff who were on hand throughout the day, and of course, everyone from the Mercedes-Benz Museum.
As always, we have plenty more events coming up, so keep an eye on our Events page, and sign up for our newsletter to avoid missing out.
Have your say!
